A Trip to Barnes and Nobles

On our way to Barnes and Nobles we stopped at the mall to check out the sales. I was going to wait in the car for MB to pick up her perfume, but she called me on my cell phone and told me to come in and check out all the sales at Burlington Coat Factory. Cody refused to go with us but went to Game Attic instead.

Emily found a beautiful black strapless, ruffly dress and begged her mom to buy it for her. We thought it looked fabulous....but her mom said, "Absolutely not!"

Here's my new book bag that I will carry to school. It cost $2.47. I had to buy 2 books to get it at that price, but Cody took care of that problem for me. He chose his two books and I chose two books. Emily brought the little Hanukkah book to me and said I should buy it, so I did. I love it.

I saw a bag there that I want. On the front it says, "When I get money I always buy books and whatever is left I spend on food and clothes.

Orange Smash 2008

Every year, after the orange grove across the street from my house, has been harvested, we gather some of the oranges that are left on the trees and have a game of ORANGE SMASH. We see who can splatter it the best. I'm not sure who won this year.

Making Bears

The Christmas decorations have been put away. Christmas didn't stay long enough this year. I put everything away with a tug at my heart, knowing Cody, Dylan and Savannh will be going back to Tulsa at the end of the week. It will be a lonely trip back for me. I'm meeting Lesley in Biloxi or Gulfport. It depends on how far we get. Mary Beth and Emily will be moving out the first of February. I'll be an empty nester again. But school starts in January and its back to the routine.
That's life.

Christmas was wonderful!

What a wonderful whirl of days!!! All my grandchildren spent Christmas with me. Yipppeee! When the Christmas break started, Mary Beth, Emily and I started out for Biloxi, Mississippi. There we met with Lesley to pick up Cody, Dylan and Savannah. Biloxi is a little less than half-way from central Florida to Tulsa, Oklahoma where they live. We had a small Christmas party in the motel room. What fun!

Nick and Kayla were so excited about the Christmas tree. Nick calls it the "Christmas." Kiwi kept picking the ornaments off and cried when I put them back. She is such a cutie.

Liz taught Nick how to blow the harmonica his grandfather sent him. It was one of his favorite toys. Now, why didn't I think of that?

I've got lots of pictures. I will post them soon.

A light in the Window

Welcome to my Home!

This is my first attempt at a blog. But from some blogs that I have seen, I can hardly wait to learn how to get it all together.
